A Weekend of Weddings...

Friday night we headed for Logan, Utah to attend my oldest daughter's former mission companion's wedding reception!  Logan is soooo beautiful with lush, green fields and beautiful cows everywhere...we literally went over the river and through the woods to get here...

This is the house where the reception was to take place.  Due to crazy rain & winds, we headed over to the church instead...The yard and house were so cute and the family did so much to get ready for the wedding...but as you may or may not know, Utah weather is unpredictable!

We waited in line over an hour to see the Bride & Groom...tons of people came to support them and they were so gracious to stand there for so long to accommodate all who came!

My cute girls waiting in the reception line...

Everything was vintage farm...my favorite style!  The cute chalkboard signs were hand made...the flowers, gorgeous and they had a panel of old doors being the Bride & Groom which just made it extra adorable!

Loved her color palette!

The adorable Bride!

The cake was amazing and the fresh slices of lemons made it even more pretty

The Logan Temple is castle like...at night it is amazing to see...

Girl's Night at the Marriott...

Saturday morning we were off to the Salt Lake Temple!

I want to do something like these flowers on my backyard fence...

The Angel Moroni

Sisters & cousins waiting for their big sister/cousin to come out of the temple...

Beautiful corsages made by the bride...

Finally they come out...so excited to be married!

Alyx's dress was gorgeous and here she is getting a hug from her youngest sister...

My daughter Kayla was in charge of 140 cupcakes and the wedding cake...it was strawberry & white cake and it was delicious!  On the way in, one of the helpers dropped the glass bowl that held the frosting to the cake...glass was shattered everywhere in the frosting which had to be tossed....my husband came to the rescue with a Kitchen Aid and new ingredients...the cake was completed just as the reception started....sheesh...gave us all a heart attack!

Some guests required gluten free...they were delish!

The cute little cake table...

Me, the groom, John, the bride, Alyx and the baker, Kayla

Wheeler Farms was the venue...so much fun...Alyx did amazing on the decorations!

Treat bags for the guests that say, "Thanks for making our wedding day sweeter" filled with taffy & candy sticks...

My cute little vintage bike was spray painted pink for the occassion and decked out in ribbons...turned out soooo cute!

It's Monday and I'm exhausted from both weddings but was so glad to be a part of each of them...the girls each had beautiful weddings and were so happy to see everyone who came...!  We may be having a wedding of our own in the next while...my son Eric may be getting hitched!
I'll keep you posted!
