Home Again

So we waited patiently at the airport for the boy we haven't seen in two years.  Where's he been you ask?  He's been on a mission for our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for two years.  He taught the gospel of Jesus Christ, he served others, he walked door to door and house to house in the Chicago South mission and he came home a man.

We waited with a large sign created by my daughter Chelsea (she served in the Rochester, New York mission a couple of years ago as a sister missionary)

These are all of my kids, L - R, Kayla, Zack, Chelsea, Grandma (not my kid, but my Mom) and Mackenzie on the far right and the youngest, Zoe at the bottom.

All we need is Eric.
cute kids, waiting, waiting.

My Dad & Mom front and center.  They just got back from their 2 year mission in the Philipinnes...amazing experiences and blessings!
He's been called "Elder Stroud" the past two years...
Here is the Chicago temple
And finally he arrives....look at my husband's face...he is so happy
See his little missionary badge??
It is SOOOOO good having him home and so neat to see how much he's grown and matured and so exciting to see what the future holds for my boy...he's all growed up now and we are all so blessed by this experience...if you ever want to know more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints then just go to http://www.lds.org/ and get a free Book of Mormon!

  2. That is such a wonderful accomplishment, to give to others like that. You must be very proud.
