Had a very "UP" Day!

I spent the afternoon with Lynette Elliott Hamblin...owner of the UP House...you know, from the adorable animated movie "UP"?   The cute love story of Carl & Ellie..!  Can I just say?  It was awesome! Got the home tour and found out that Lynette is an amazing glass artist...makes beautiful Disney art using colored glass!   Lynette is a sweetheart of a host and gave me the ultimate tour (I even got to see her bathtub! Gorgeous!)  Her love of Disney & the beach are displayed throughout her home.  Being surrounded by the colors of the sea & the Disney characters made for a wonderful afternoon...Lynette lived many years in Southern California, visiting Disneyland and surfing the waves!  Being a California girl myself, it was hard to leave as all the memories of my youth came rushing back!   Her home is beautiful and her sense of design, art & decorating are so talented!

Carl & Ellie's chairs

Dreamy "Big Chill" appliances
Beachy colors
Disney treasures everywhere

Lynette's collections
The doors in the picture above open to reveal a secret playroom!  Wouldn't your kids just die for this?  Mine would!

I would actually enjoy doing laundry in here
Beautiful walls of her little girl's room
The ET doll was Lynette's when she was a little girl, now her daughter loves it just as much!
Mickey Mouse bathroom of course!
Lynette's beautiful bedroom...luxurious
Love this tub!
Lynette's art
Sorry this picture came out a bit blurry but Disney Princesses displayed in their finest gowns...!  The villians will be framed and displayed too on the opposite wall...
I loved this little table that sits next to the tub...look at the design, beautiful!
This "UP" glass art design was created by Lynette BEFORE they bought the "UP" house...it was meant to be...isn't it beautiful?
Theatre room...gorgeous sea art everwhere and touches of Disney everwhere...love!
The upstairs playroom...a very happy place!
I wanted to get on the floor and play with this doll house...Lynette's daughter had all the Disney dolls displayed...it was hard to walk away...
The gorgeous bedroom set Lynette scored on the yardsale site!
This dresser and art (the yellow, green & pink frames) were made from Lynette's childhood Disney calendar...the wall is painted with Cinderella's carriage...sigh...so lovely...the Snow White set was another score on the Vintage Yard Sale Utah site...
Mermaid art by Lynette...yes please!
Hallway art
This little art piece is proudly displayed in Lynette's kitchen...the top drawing was done by Lynette as a child, the lower picture was done by Lynette's daughter Coral...what a great way to display art!
When Lynette is not providing tours of her home, she spends time scoring furniture, repainting & reupholstering her finds...this was her newest project!

...Thank you for sharing your home with me Lynette! I'm sorry your dog hates me!
Fun & exciting things to be announced to the Vintage Yard Sale Utah group soon!
Hint: Lynette's "UP" house is involved!
