Home Improvement!

I'm so happy that Spring is finally here! I grew up and lived in California my whole life and winters in Utah are hard on me! Don't get me wrong...the snow is beautiful and fun to play in, but by the time March rolls along, I'm ready for spring weather! I had such a great weekend and I have pictures to share! First, we laid sod in our backyard on Friday...we held a "Sod Layin Party" and friends & family showed up and laid 2,000 sq. ft of sod in 1 1/2 hours! Amazing! Looking out my back window and seeing green grass instead of dirt is a great feeling....so thank you everyone! We are so blessed! On Saturday I spent the day with my dear friend Shanon and we celebrated her birthday! Mexican food, shopping, craft shows, home improvement stores and Baskin Robbins....what a fun day! (Thank you honey for watching the kids all day!) We both LOVE fabric and redecorating and had a blast planning how were going to revamp our homes on a tight budget! My favorite product that does the most inprovement for the least amount of money is spray paint! I found two beautiful blues, "Royal Blue" by Rustoleum & "Mediterranean" by Valspar and started spraying away! My house has a lot of red in it....red kitchen chairs, a red sectional couch, red accents and I've just been feeling like I need a change....so blue it is.....I painted some candle sticks and a tin star I have hanging in my family room and guess what...I love the results! I left just a touch of the red peeking out on the candle sticks. I've taken pictures and you can see the results here! Yard work and redecorating....these are a few of my favorite things!
