Fudge Recipe

I'm reposting my favorite fudge recipe in honor of the Christmas Season!  This is a no-fail, yummy, delectable recipe I learned from a class I took!  Tomorrow is December 1st and the craziness will officially begin!

* Take 3 large Hershey bars & break into pieces in a bowl.

* Add a cube and a half of butter and 1 tablespoon of flavoring (vanilla, raspberry, orange, mint, etc.) I used vanilla in mine.

*Grease a pan and set aside.

*In a large pan add 4 cups sugar, 1/4 tsp. Cream of Tartar, 1 can of evaporated milk & 2 tablespoons of corn syrup. Stir together an bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook at a rolling boil for 4/12 minutes and then pour cooked mixture over the candy bars, butter & flavoring...stir & stir until all ingredients are blended well. Have someone do a taste test, (Zoe gave her approval!) & then pour into greased pan & refrigerate. Cut in squares & serve...yum!

  1. I tried this fudge for our New Year's Buffet, where we invited our Filipino friends to come for a taste of American food! The Holidays MUST have Choc Fudge!! Elder Pratt loved it so much, that I had to make about 4 batches. I took it to our District Missionary meeting and the Young Elders loved it too! Easy to make, even in the humid Philippines Cauayan Mission.
